Your new role: Head of Production Operations FTC

As Head of Production Operations, you’ll oversee the Production Management team delivering projects for multiple video departments including Editorial, Commercial, Podcast, Marketing and Internal.

You’ll provide strategic oversight of planning, resourcing and delivery, ensuring output is executed efficiently, safely and to a high standard.

This is a senior role responsible for managing and reporting CapEx, OpEx and production budgets, alongside legal, compliance and health and safety activity. You’ll manage a team of 7, work with senior stakeholders and bring a proactive, strategic and autonomous approach.

We are looking for someone to bring operational excellence to a high-performing team that work at pace in an agile world.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Oversee the production management team across podcast, editorial video, commercial productions and wider project delivery.

  • Set the operational approach for planning, scheduling and resource allocation across multiple projects and priorities.

  • Manage and report across multiple budgets.

  • Manage legal, compliance, IR35 and health and safety requirements across production activity

  • Work directly with talent and agents to receive and process talent invoices.

  • Oversee all broadcast events.

  • Manage software and music licences, including shared agreements with regional offices and partner agencies.

  • Oversee crew bookings, staff and edit schedules, studio scheduling and kit bookings. 40% Editorial & Commercial Video, 40% Podcast Production, 20% other projects & operations.

  • Demonstrable experience managing budgets, financial processes and production resources.

  • Strong project management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Excellent attention to detail, a strong understanding of legal, compliance and health and safety.

  • Confident communication skills, experience working with senior stakeholders and decision makers.

  • Experience with Workday, Float, Trello, Planner and ContractWorks.

  • A proactive, team-oriented approach, with the ability to work autonomously and bring clarity in a fast-paced environment.

  • The ability to prioritise in the abstract – each project is different and not all decisions can be made based on scale, budget and deadline.

  • Team Player: You are positive, collaborative and a contagious spirit, who works well with others.

  • Experience of live events and music and entertainment related content.

  • Calm and collected under pressure.

  • Excellent understanding of the full video production cycle and workflows from pre to post production.
