Job title: Senior Podcast Producer – Audio and video (12 Month Fixed Contract)

Your new role
We’re looking for a strategic, creative Senior Podcast Producer who is highly experience in entertainment formats, to take a leading role in the development and execution of Global Original podcasts. You’ll report into an Executive Producer but operate with a high degree of autonomy, shaping the editorial vision, managing the full production process, and owning delivery from concept to launch and beyond.
This is an opportunity for someone with a passion for storytelling and a sharp editorial instinct, combined with a deep understanding of how video content and social media amplify podcast growth. You’ll be trusted to originate bold ideas, steer production teams, and cultivate strong talent relationships that result in compelling, audience-driven content.
Key Responsibilities
- Alongside an exec producer take editorial leadership of a slate of Global Original podcasts
- Identify and manage on- and off-air talent… helping them deliver their best work
- Create memorable video content that will increase our digital and podcast audiences.
- Contribute to long-term planning, performance analysis, and creative reviews– you need to be an ideas powerhouse and always thinking about how we can reach new podcast audiences and build upon our existing ones.

What Success Looks Like
In your first few months, you’ll have:
- Developed original ideas and formats aligned with Global’s podcast strategy.
- Worked with some of the biggest talent in the podcast business.
- Produced at least 3 x podcast titles on weekly basis
- Shaped and evolved the Podcast’s video output – from daily clips for social to full length interviews/episodes.
- Built strong internal and external relationships
What You’ll Need
The ideal candidate will be proactive and willing to develop and implement innovative solutions, capable of the following:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as either producer of podcasts and/or live radio.
- You will be required to show a high level of creativity and imagination in both audio and video and be able to edit both.
- A solid knowledge and understanding of Adobe Audition and Adobe Premiere Pro is a must. If your experience with video editing software is more limited, a desire to learn is key. Experience with After Effects would be a bonus.
- Experience with video tech (hardware and software) – vision mixers, playout/graphic systems, recording and streaming tools would be advantageous.
- A strong understanding of social platforms and how to optimise video and social posts for maximum engagement.
- You will need to have strong talent management skills and work well to focused briefs and production deadlines.
- You will be flexible enough to work across a range of categories and styles with an up-to-date understanding of diversity and inclusivity.
- You will have a wide ranging and deep knowledge of the current podcasting world including an in-depth awareness of industry trends and the commercial landscape of podcasting in the UK and other key markets.
- You’ll be a listener of podcasts across multiple categories and genres.
- You will have a detailed understanding of how to promote podcasts optimally and the ability to build additional social media and short form audio and video content to help drive audience to the podcasts.
